Middleboro Basketball Sweeps the Holidays with Tournament Titles

Middleboro High School basketball fans had plenty to celebrate this holiday season as both the boys and girls teams captured championship titles in their respective holiday tournaments, showcasing talent, teamwork, and Sachem pride.

The Middleboro boys basketball team delivered an impressive run to the tournament crown, opening with a victory over Tyngsboro before defeating Lowell Catholic in the championship game. The Sachems displayed balanced scoring, disciplined defense, and poise in key moments, setting the tone early and finishing the tournament with confidence.

Not to be outdone, the Middleboro girls basketball team matched the boys’ success with a championship of their own. The girls earned their title by defeating Ursuline Academy in the opening round and then closing out the tournament with a hard-fought win over Scituate. Their performance highlighted relentless effort on both ends of the floor and a commitment to playing for one another.

With both programs hoisting holiday tournament trophies, Middleboro High School made a statement to start the winter season. The dual championships reflect the hard work of the student-athletes and coaching staffs, as well as the strong culture surrounding the Sachdems basketball program.

As league play approaches, the Sachems will look to build on this momentum and carry their holiday success into the heart of the season.
