Middleborough, MA – The Middleborough High School Athletic Department is proud to announce the hiring of Andrea Morris as the new Varsity Girls Lacrosse Head Coach.
Coach Morris brings an exceptional blend of high-level coaching experience, program leadership, and a lifelong connection to athletics. Most recently, she founded and directs the East Coast Rebels Lacrosse Club in Middleborough, where she built a girls lacrosse program serving athletes in grades 2–12. Her leadership has focused on player development, strong relationships with families, and helping student-athletes pursue opportunities at the collegiate level.
Previously, Morris served as Head Coach at Cape Cod Academy, where she guided a small but competitive program to a top-eight finish in the state. She has also held a major leadership role with 3 Step Sports/Aces Lacrosse, managing a club program of more than 200 athletes, overseeing staff recruitment, tournament operations, travel logistics, and national-level competition opportunities. Her experience includes coaching at regional and national events and mentoring players through the college recruiting process.
Her coaching resume also includes work with Riverhawks Youth Lacrosse in Middleborough and multiple youth programs across Massachusetts, demonstrating a strong commitment to developing the sport at all levels.
A former multi-sport athlete, Morris played varsity lacrosse, ice hockey, and rugby at Wesleyan University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree. She later received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law. In addition to her coaching career, Morris is an accomplished attorney, bringing leadership, organization, and mentorship skills that translate seamlessly to guiding student-athletes.
“We are thrilled to welcome Coach Morris to Middleborough,” said the Middleborough High School Athletic Director Ryan Sylvia. “Her experience building successful programs, her passion for player development, and her deep ties to the local lacrosse community make her an outstanding fit for our student-athletes and school community.”
Morris is eager to begin working with the team and building a competitive, positive, and growth-focused culture within the Middleborough Girls Lacrosse program.
“I’m honored to join the Middleborough High School community,” Morris said. “I look forward to helping our student-athletes grow as players, teammates, and leaders while building a program the community can be proud of.”
